What he loves
Like many people of his generation Mark cut his developer’s teeth trying to program a BBC Basic computer, copying line upon line of code from a computing magazine to try and make an Asteroids game. (It never worked)
His first “proper” computer was an RM Nimbus 286. He broke it several times by asking dangerous question like “what happens if I type format c?”
Mark started having piano lessons from about the age of 7, having his first Casio keyboard given to him at the age of 4. He loves playing and singing, and now and again gigs with the odd band.
What he does best
Mark’s an accomplished developer with a great deal of commercial experience. He’s a real advocate for the use of ASP.NET as a force for creative Web development and tries to rescue its reputation as a business-only platform.
Mark is a good writer, with an excellent command of the English language and a great eye for detail. He’s a more-than-capable Web designer and Flash animator, but his skills lie with developing and building Web applications.
